2022 World Cup Qualifiers: Kenya’s Nyayo Stadium To Host Ethiopia vs Ghana Matchday 5 Fixture

The Ethiopia Football Federation has sent an appeal to the Football Kenya Federation over the use of the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi during the World Cup qualifications.

Ethiopia were scheduled to play Ghana on the Bahir Dar Stadium in the month of October for a match day, but the stadium has been shut by CAF.

CAF has ordered Ethiopia to propose an alternative venue to host the Black Stars in November latest Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

The Ethiopia Football Federation has now selected for the Nyayo National Stadium in Kenya to host Ghana in the final game of the fixtures.

The Black Stars will take on South Africa in the final round.

Ghana is currently ranked 2nd in the Group G standings with only a single point in front of the leaders South Africa, while Ethiopia are 3rd, with Zimbabwe languishing at the bottom of the table.
