The draw of this year’s FIFA World Cup qualification play-offs will be delayed until next year, following the CAF decision taken on Friday at the Extraordinary Assembly.
The draw that was originally scheduled for the 18th of December in 2021 is now scheduled to take place on the 26th of January in 2022.
As per the ruling, the rankings for January 2022 will be used to determine the teams to draw.
The top five teams ranked when they draw are seeded, and then play against the five other unseeded nations.
