Femi Fani-Kayode, the spokesperson for the All Progressive Congress, APC, presidential Campaign Council has made a revelation to the effect that there are some members of the ruling party who may be working in concert with Atiku Abubakar who is the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The former minister made the disclosure on ” The 2023 Verdict” a special elections coverage program on Channels Television.
Fani-Kayode said that the distractions surrounding their campaign are very disturbing because his team is working very hard but there are some elements who are working around the clock to create hurdles and ensure that the transition is botched.
He went on to state that in his view some of these people may be working for the candidates like Atiku who he deems weak, but does not he how well those machinations will end given the fact that the opposition is very weak.
When asked about comments made earlier by the Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai that there are some forces in the Presidential Villa who are working to see the defeat of the party’s flagbearer, Fani-Kayode said that it does not matter what the so-called forces do, Bola Tinubu will emerge president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
