A member of the board of Accra Hearts of Oak, Frank Nelson Nwokolo, has urged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to maintain Annor Walker as the head coach of the Black Galaxies despite the team’s subpar performance and elimination from the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) at the quarterfinal stage.
The outspoken football executive made this statement after Ghana had lost to Niger by two goals to nil in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Although he admits the team struggled during the tournament, he believes there should not be a major overhaul of the coaching staff.
He said that it is a fact that the team struggled but it can also not be disputed that they had given their best and that there must be a review of the performances so that the wrongs can be corrected going forward.
Frank Nelson insists that it is a learning curve for the whole team and that if Annor Walker is to continue as head coach there needs to be a major dress-up.
