Famous Kumawood actor, Akwasi Boateng, better known as Akrugu has revealed that he was rejected and tagged as an evil child by his own family and industry players due to his peculiar looks.
Speaking during an interview with Ambassador TV, which was monitored by MyNewsGh.com, the actor revealed that he was addressed as a child of an evil spirit because of his eyes which are bigger and puffed out.
“People used to call me bosomba because of my puffy eyes and my physical looks,” he revealed.
He added that even his own father rejected him after birth as a result of fear of his rather shocking look.
“My father left my mother when she gave birth to me because he was afraid of my physical condition.”
He however hinted that irrespective of how rich he becomes in the future, he has no intentions of changing his looks as he believes God created him that way for a reason and as such is proud of how he looks.
“When I sleep I can’t close my eyes completely because of how big they are and I also can’t interlock my fingers but I’m proud of how God created me… even if I get money like Dangote… I will never undergo surgery to change my looks. I will use the money to feed the poor and help the needy,” he added.
