I’m Happy Hearts of Oak Have Very Dedicated Players – Slavko Matic

Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Slavko Matic has expressed his delight at having a group of players who are very dedicated and hardworking.

Since joining the Phobian fraternity, the Serbian trainer has led a massive clearout in the club.

Fatawu Mohammed, a former captain, and Mohammed Alhassan were among some of the high-profile players who have had their contracts abrogated.

The Serbian coach is now of the view that he has at his disposal a crop of players who are of high profile and believes it augurs well for the club.

He told the media that he is happy that he has this group of players because they work very hard, are very professional, and are very dedicated. That is good for all of us.

Matic added that he had lost about five of his players who were on national duty at the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) which made it difficult for him a pick a consistent starting eleven.

He said it is not easy to find the first eleven, especially in this situation when you stayed without five of your players.
