Leicester City Boss Critical Of Daniel Amartey’s Mistake Defeat To Blackburn

Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Leicester City has revealed his frustrations with his side’s performance after their 2-1 loss to Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.

Leicester City played host to Blackburn Rovers but failed to take advantage of the support of the home crowd to progress to the quarter-finals of the competition due to a poor defensive display.

Daniel Amartey was directly responsible for the mistake that led to the two goals conceded by the Foxes.

In a post-match interview, Rodgers was very critical of his side’s poor defending and inability to retain possession during critical segments of the match.

He bemoaned the team’s poor decision-making which led to the opening goal they conceded.
He said that they were playing at home, with a chance to get to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup but failed to take it.

Rodgers went on to say he thinks it says everything that Daniel Iversen was the Man of the Match, while his side could not keep hold of the ball and also did not defend well.

He added that his team gave away the first goal cheaply due to poor decision-making.
