Baba Yara Stadium Is Ready To Host Black Stars Match Against Angola – Prof Peter Twumasi

The head of the National Sports Authority, Professor Peter Twumasi has confirmed the readiness of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to host the AFCON qualifier match between Ghana and Angola.

The Black Stars will take on the Palancras Negra later this month in their bid to qualify for the 2023 African Cup of Nations to be held in the Ivory Coast.

The reverse fixture will be played in Luanda on 27 March.

Professor Peter Twumasi told Peace FM that he went to inspect the venue himself and only returned to the capital yesterday and by the grace of God things look good.

He revealed that he has been there (Kumasi) and is certain everything is ready. He said the only thing that is he is looking up to is that the D-day will arrive for kickoff.

Ghana is at joint top of the Group E table with 4 points from two games following a 3-0 win over Madagascar and a 1-1 draw with Central African Republic in June last year.
