I Don’t Mind Starting From The Bench; I Will Always Be Ready To Help The Black Stars – Antoine Semenyo

Black Stars forward, Antoine Semenyo has revealed that he is not bothered starting games for the Black Stars from the substitute’s bench.

Antoine Semenyo who plies his trade with AFC Bournemouth got his first call-up to the senior men’s football team last year.
He is however yet to seal his place in the team as the number one striker thus far.

During the Black Stars 2023 AFCON qualifier first-leg match against the Palancas Negras of Angola on Thursday 23 March at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, he came off the bench to secure all three points at stake with a last-ditch strike.

In a post-match interview with the media, the striker revealed that his not bent on starting Ghana’s next match just because he scored on the day.

In his view, he is more concerned about preparing well and being ready to help the team when he is called upon.

Semenyo said it doesn’t really make a difference and all he has to do is always have to make sure he is ready.

The Black Stars will take on Angola on 27 March, in Luanda, Angola.
