Chris Hughton, Black Stars coach, has said that Ghana is blessed to have a player like Mohammed Kudus.
Mohammed Kudus was the Black Stars’ best player at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, scoring two goals and assisting once.
He has been a key figure for the team since he joined it.
At the start of the Dutch Eredivisie’s current season, he struggled under the former coach but has got a new lease of life under current manager John Heitinga.
Chris Hughton is of the opinion that Mohammed is one of the few players on his side who is versatile.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion manager told SuperSport that the team is fortunate to have Mohammed Kudus; we all know that. We’ve actually been planning on a few positions, and in the last few games, he’s been on the right-hand side.
He said he thinks he is a player who can play in the attacking midfield. If he could play on either flank, I think he would be better on the right than the left. He is also playing in a strong team that generally has more possession than the opposition.
Hughton concluded that we are fortunate to have him. Whether he is coming on from the bench or starting a role, I think we have a lot of flexibility in the way he can play.
Mohammed Kudus is on very fine form for his club side Ajax Amsterdam.
