Yaw Preko Counting On Black Stars Coach Chris Hughton To Get The Best Out Of Goal-shy Inaki Williams

Former Black Stars forward Yaw Preko is hoping Black Stars coach Chris Hughton will get the best out of Inaki Williams who is struggling in front of the goal for the national team.

The Athletico Bilbao forward is yet to score for the Black Stars after earning seven caps for the Ghana national team.
Yaw Preko has in an interview called on Chris Hughton to make good use of Inaki Williams.

The former Accra Great Olympics manager said it is very frustrating because he’s being in a group of players whose style of play does not suit him. He said he jumped from his seat when Ghana scored against Angola in Luanda thinking it was Inaki because he wanted him to score to ease the pressure.

He added that the African terrain is different from that of Europe. Asamoah faced a similar situation but he later found his rhythm and scored a lot of goals for the country. He says he understands where Williams is coming from and the other strikers but he knows, gradually, the goals will come for Williams.

Preko concluded that Ghana has a new coach and he thinks he will study how to make good use of Williams because it happened to Tony Yeboah, who was banging in the goals in Europe and struggled at the national level but surely, the goals will come for Inaki.

Inaki Williams played in both legs of Ghana’s 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Algeria.
