Young Ghanaian female singer Gyakie was overwhelmed and excited after the legendary Angelique Kidjo introduced her at the Africa Day concert.
Gyakie was part of the young talented African musicians chosen around the continent and was scheduled to perform at the Africa Day concert, a musical concept which was held to mark the celebration on Africa Day on May 25th.
The concert was organized by MTV Base Africa and was aired on streaming platform YouTube on the MTVBaseAfrica322 channel. The show was hosted by renowned disc jockey, rapper and Hollywood actor Idriss Elba.
Gyakie was introduced on stage by the legendary Angelique Kidjo who ruin praises on the young talented Ghanaian star. She described Gyakie as a star who will one day carry the African continent on her shoulders with her music.
Gyakie performed her hit track ‘Forever’ which MTV Base describes as a song that has taken the African continent and the whole world by storm. After the performance, the singer took to her official Twitter to revealed how overwhelm she is to be introduced on stage by no other than the legendary Angelique Kidjo.

The ‘Forever’ song is by far the singer’s biggest song in her young musical career and she featured young and vibrant Nigerian Afrobeats singer Omah Lay on the remix version of the song.
The song also earned the young singer her first Vodafone Ghana Music Award nomination after it was nominated in the Best Afrobeats/ Afropop song of the year and in other two categories in the 21st edition of the forthcoming musical event.
