Kevin Prince Boateng Set To Leave AC Monza After Contract Ends

Ghanaian forward Kevin Prince Boateng is leaving AC Monza after his contract with the Serie B side ends.

The former AC Milan and Barcelona attacker joined the Serie B side from Fiorentina last summer but leaves after just a season.

It is understood that the owner of AC Monza, Silvio Berlusconi decided not to extend the 34-year-old’s contract after failing to earn promotion to the topflight.

The experienced attacker helped the Eagles to the playoffs but suffered heavy defeat to Citadella to end the season in disappointment.

Boateng, who was a key player at Monza, struggled with injuries limiting him to only 24 games. He scored 5 times and provided four assists.

The German-born Ghanaian will be hunting for a new club this summer.

Meanwhile, reports in Italy have linked the striker to serie A side Udinese with newly-promoted English Premier League side Norwich City also interested.
