Coach of the Ghana Black Stars CK Akonnor and captain of the National team Andre Ayew spoke to the media after yesterday, Saturday, June 12, goalless draw with the Ivory Coast at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
After loosing 1-0 away friendly match against Morocco on June 8, the Black Stars settled for a friendly draw after failing to create glaring chances in the highly competitive game.
The result means Black Stars failed to win any of their two friendly games, aimed at keeping the team in shape ahead of their 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia in September this year.
Andre Ayew praised his side’s effort against the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire as CK Akonnor also praised the boys for playing very well.
