Andre Ayew And Swansea City Shut Down Social Media Activities In Attempt To Fight Against Discrimination

Welsh-based Club Swansea city has taken a stance against online abuses and any form of discrimination.

Many football players suffered vile discriminations on Social media even from their own fans most especially as a result of their bad outings in any fixture and Swansea are trying to take that out of their supporters and rival fans.

A club statement indicates the entire players at any level of the club will not use some notable social media pages for seven days.

Swansea City has chosen to take a club-wide stance in the battle against abuse and discrimination of all forms on social media.”

“From 5pm today (April 8) all first-team players, those in the academy professional phase (under-23s and under-18s), Swansea City Ladies, our Community Trust, senior club staff and official club channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat) will not post any content for a period of seven days.” The championship club stated.

Andre Ayew also wrote; “We are a family and we will always stand shoulder to shoulder, whether that’s on the pitch or helping to fight injustice off it.
