Lionel Messi’s staggering salary details have been revealed following his agreement to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain on a two-year deal, according to the Telegraph.
As he completes his move to the French Ligue 1 giants, he will remain the highest-paid player in the world. Several outlets are reporting that Messi will earn around €31.5 million per season, which will eventually drop to around €25 million after taxes.
He is expected to sign a two-year contract with a third-year option, earning a staggering €75 million over the first two years, plus a €25 million signing bonus.

Messi will earn around €481,000 per week, or €68,682 per day, or €2,862 per hour, based on his ridiculous take-home pay, according to SPORTbible.
These huge sums are before bonuses, sponsorships, and other benefits, as the Argentine legend will continue to earn an incredible salary.
His move to Paris will reunite him with Neymar, with whom he played for four years, as well as eternal El Clasico rival Sergio Remos. Messi, regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, set a record with 672 goals in 778 games for Barcelona, which he joined as a 13-year-old.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi’s departure will have a further impact on Barcelona’s finances, with the club set to lose €137 million in brand value. Following strict La Liga rules, La Blaugrana were unable to secure Messi’s contract extension, and the 34-year-old is set to join Paris Saint-Germain.
The six-time Ballon d’Or winner agreed to a 50% pay cut in order to register, but La Liga’s strict financial rules prevented him from doing so.

Messi’s value to Barcelona, according to Brand Finance, is much higher than the club’s current value, as the Camp Nou outfit is also set to lose €17 million on matchday ticket sales.
