Ghana Defender Gideon Mensah Named In Bordeaux Squad To Face Montpellier

Black Stars defender Gideon Mensah has been named in the Bordeaux squad to face Montpellier on Wednesday night.

The 23-year-old has been out of action for the French club after the international break.

The Red Bull Salzburg player on loan was part of the Black Stars team for the 2022  World Cup qualifiers.

The left-back was engaged in the Black Stars game against South Africa at the FnB Stadium in Johannesburg, which the team lost.

Mensah upon his return to France had to quarantine before joining his teammates for training.

Quarantine had seen him miss two league games and also had to work on his fitness before joining the team.

The Ghanaian international has not played for Bordeaux in a month and is likely to make a return in Wednesday’s game against Montpellier.
