Tems Beats Davido, Wizkid & Burna Boy, Becomes The Most Streamed African Artist On Spotify

Promising Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, professionally known as Tems has reached another milestone in her music career after she was ranked the best African artist with the most listeners on the musical platform, Spotify.

Tems is currently the most trended musician in the Nigerian music industry. This was after she secured a collaboration deal with the Canadian rapper, Drake on his recent album dubbed “Certified Lover Boy”. Ever since then, it has been one success to the other, and lately, she has bagged another success in her music career.

In a recent development on her progress in her career, Tems has been ranked as the best African artist with the most listeners on Spotify with 14.632 million plays on the platform. She was followed by Wizkid and Burna Boy who has 10.462 million and 9.624 plays respectively.

CKay and Mr. Eazi followed up with 6.681 million and 4.766 million plays respectively. Master KG, Davido, and Rema also came in with 4.581 million, 3.379 million, and 3.032 million on the platform respectively.

In other news, multiple award-winning dancehall musician, Livingstone Etse Satekla, also known as Stonebwoy has been mocked on social media after the well-known fashion brand, Tommy Hilfiger announced the Nigerian Icon, Wizkid as their new brand ambassador.

This comes after Stonebwoy was reported to have met with the CEO of the brand and began wearing the brand, hoping to secure a deal with the brand but he was snubbed for another artiste.

Well, the brand made the list of their new brand ambassadors public but it appears that the dancehall maestro was absent as Wizkid who never wore the brand prior to the deal bagged a deal with the brand.
