Anthony Joshua has finally uncovered that he had issues with his vision beginning in the 9th round of his bout with Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
In the late phases of the bout, Anthony Joshua started to have issues with his vision after a few punches to his face from his required challenger Oleksandr Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Oleksandr Usyk put on a show that should not be taken lightly, as he outfoxed whipped Anthony Joshua in more than twelve rounds to win the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight titles with a unanimous decision.
Joshua, who is presently hoping to enact his rematch proviso, had this to say after the bout
”I can’t go back and sulk, that’s wasting time. I couldn’t see in the 9th round, couldn’t see anything really because my eye was shut. It was a good exoerience because in adversity you’ve just got to learn to control yourself, stay on top of things, so when I couldn’t see anything, it’s the first time that it’s happened in a fight.
I’m ready to get back to training. It was a good 12 rounder, so I’ll be in good place when I get back into training to pick up where we left off..”
