The president of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo said that the type of flagbearer that the NPP party will need in 2024 is a unifier.
He says that the flagbearer who is going to succeed him should possess the characteristics of a unifier.
The President stated that he’s not in a position to endorse any candidate, but rather to ensure that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) remains in power, as it can go far in ensuring sustainable growth in the country.
”My duty is to hold the balance, to make sure that there is a level playing field for all inside our party. The decision has to be the decision of the party, my thing is that whoever the party elects as the flagbearer for 2024, that person is who I will support and God willing, If I have strength campaign for the person to become President,” he stated while speaking on Pure FM.
Not only that, but he added that Ghana would have achieved its desired results should his party NPP continue with governance after former President Kuffour.
