Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister for Communications and Digitisation, has uncovered that the government of Ghana took over media communications organization, AirtelTigo, for only one dollar ($1).
As indicated by her, rumors that the government bought it for $20 million are false and should be excused by the general population. In a report recorded by StarrNews, she uncovered that the organization’s obligations accumulated via AirtelTigo adding up to $100 million owed to Standard Bank will be organized by the public authority and paid off.
Ursula said half of the $100 million obligation has been excused by the bank and the excess half will be paid off by the government of Ghana.
