Ghana Defender Mohammed Salisu Named In EPL Team Of The Week

Ghana centre-back Mohammed Salisu has been named in the Premier League Team of the Week for his performance for Southampton in their win in the away fixture against Watford.

The 22-year-old put in a dominant performance to prevent the Hornets from scoring a goal at Vicarage Road.

Salisu was named Alan Shearer’s player of the week. He is with Manchester United, Raphael Varane and Gabriel of Arsenal in a trio backline.

On the left and right flanks, include the Chelsea’s Reece James and Tyrick Mitchell from Crystal Palace.

In the middle is Declan Rice of West Ham and Crystal Palace’s Conor Gallagher.

Mohammed Salisu has been in excellent condition in The Saints during the season, appearing in every single one of the 10 Premier League games.
