You Were Scoring Soft Penalties During Your Time With Ghana – Charles Taylor Slams Asamoah Gyan

Former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko player Charles Taylor has slammed former Black Stars captain Asmaoah Gyan for his comments following the Ghana match against South Africa during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers at the Cape Coast sports stadium.

Asamoah Gyan made a controversial statement that the penalty handed out to Ghana in their win against South Africa that Daniel Amartey fell without difficulty.

The statement has been criticized as unfair, as Charles Taylor claiming his role as an ex- Ghana captain ought to have forced him to take a second look before speaking.

If I were in Asamoah Gyan’s shoes, I’d not comment on this South Africa penalty saga. His comment was unfair to Ghana as a legend. He shouldn’t have made that comment knowing he is a former captain and a huge figure. Sometimes you don’t have to have opinion on everything especially when you know your status,” said Charles Taylor on Angel TV.

Someone will also argue that he Gyan was awared some soft penalties when he played. But he didn’t say they were soft so he will reject. He scored and celebrated. Why didn’t he say he was honest and reject them then.”

In the meantime, the South Africa Football Association has filed a complaint against Senegalese referee Ndiaye Maguette to FIFA for an eventual replay of the match.

The verdict is expected within the next days, before draws are made for the play-offs for the World Cup qualifiers.

He Is Ungrateful And A Pretender – Alhaji Grusah Angrily Slams Asamoah Gyan Over Soft Penalty Claims

A renowned football administrator, Alhaji Abdul Karim Grusah, has slammed former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan for saying Ghana’s penalty against South Africa was unfair and wrong in its decision.

The CEO of Kumasi-based King Faisal believes that the record-breaking highest scorer for the Black Stars is ungrateful and an untruthful player.

Grusah believes Gyan will never even be able to become a ball boy for the national team again, so the former Sunderland attacker ought to stop the possibility of a Black Stars call up ahead of the coming African Cup of Nations.
