Black Challenge Players Rewarded With $2k After Winning Amputee AFCON 2021

Every Black Challenge player will receive $2,000 as a reward for winning Gold at the 2021’s African Cup of Nations for Amputee Football.

This was announced by the Minister of Sports, Mustapha Ussif, who met the team in Accra on Tuesday.

The minister congratulated the Black Challenges squad for making Ghana proud in Tanzania.

They were named champions this month after a victory over Liberia at the end of their final.

The Black Challenges started the tournament by securing a stunning opening day 3-0 victory against Egypt and then destroying Nigeria with a score of 4-1. They were able to secure a slot to face Angola for the semifinals.

They scored a stunning 3-1 victory over Angola which means they qualified to play in the finals against West Africa neighbours, Liberia.

The Black Challenges won their final match against Liberia 3-1, securing the prized trophy.
