Richard Attah, Ganiyu, And 2 Other Local Players Named In Milovan Rajevac’s Provisional Squad For AFCON 2021

Four local players have been selected as part of Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac’s preliminary team to play next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

According to Ghanasoccernet, Hearts of Oak goalie Richard Attah, Asante Kotoko captain Ismail Ganiyu, Fatawu Issahaku of Dreams FC, and Philemon Baffuor were included in an agenda that was presented to Ghana Football Association.

Each player has been regulars in the national team’s senior squad, but Milovan Rajevac is likely to make major decisions when it’s the time to announce his final team.

They will be joined by 36 other players to leave Ghana for a camping trip within the United Arab Emirates on December 22, 2021.

Head Coach Milovan Rajevac will then trim his team to 28 players to prepare for the Nations Cup in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6, 2022.

The Black Stars are chasing a fifth Africa Cup of Nations title after winning the tournament in 1982.

Ghana is included in Group C along with Gabon, Comoros Island, and Morocco.
