AFCON 2021: ‘We Have A Great Chance To Beat Gabon’ – Ghana Coach Milovan Rajevac

Ghana Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac is optimist his boys are going to win today’s game against Gabon in the 2021 African cup of nations in Cameroon.

Ghana lost 1-0 to Morocco in their AFCON 2021 opening game today, Monday, January 10, and they are currently under pressure to win their remaining two games.

However, Milovan Rajevac believes the team is ready for the Gabon game, insisting they have a better chance of winning the match.

We approach every match with seriousness, we studied the team, and we know Gabon, they played well in the first match, and they are a good team definitely,” he said at the pre-match conference.

But we will rely on ourselves, and we know the amount of quality we possess, so we have to be ready and tactically disciplined to give our best and I believe we have a great chance to win the next match,” he added.

Ghana now has two games to play, Gabon, Friday, January 14, and Comoros, Tuesday, January 18, in the group stage at 7PM in the two games.

The Black Stars are seeking to end their 40 years AFCON drought by winning their 5th trophy, after winning their last trophy in 1982 in Libya.

Ghana has been to finals on three times after their last trophy, losing to the Ivory Coast on penalties in 1992 and 2015 and were beaten 1-0 by Egypt in Angola 2010.
