The Ghana Black Stars 28 man squad in Cameroon for the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament are said to be receiving $30,000 each should they manage to win their game against the Comoros.
The coach, Milovan Rajevac is also going to receive twice the amount as the qualifying bonus for the loss against Morocco and also drawing with Gabon totalling it to $900,000
The chance for Ghana to qualify for the next stage in the ongoing tournament seems shaky after losing to Morocco and hitting a point after drawing with Gabon.
Before the AFCON kickstarted, the Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, has disclosed that the Black Stars would need $25 million for the AFCON 2022 and World Cup campaigns.
This was made known during a breakfast meeting between Corporate Ghana and the Chief Executive Officers from state institutions.
The meeting which took place at the Jubilee House had these entities discussing how funds could be raised for the Black for the competitions which Ghana is currently on shaky grounds
They however noted that Corporate Organizations being involved will ease the financial burden on the Sports ministry to allow them to focus on other sports.
