Dozens of heartfelt tributes have poured in as top Scots Cyclist John Paul has died at the age of 28.
Paul, known by friends as JP, was also a double European champion at junior level, and became world junior sprint champion in 2011.
He represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in 2014, and has been lauded for his “ability to inspire and encourage.”

His tragic death was announced by the Scottish Cycling governing body in a Tweet on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
