Jason Frederick Kidd is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association.
As a point guard within the NBA, Kidd was a 10-time NBA All-Star, as well as an NBA All-NBA First Team player and an eight-time NBA All-Defensive Team player.
He was the winner of the NBA championship in the year 2011 as an athlete with the Dallas Mavericks, and was a two-time gold medalist in the Olympics as a member of his U.S. national team in the years 2000 and 2008.
Kidd was inducted as a participant to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In the month of October 2021 Kidd received recognition as one of the best league players of all time, being selected for the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
