Robin René Roberts is a television broadcaster from America. She was born in Tuskegee, Alabama on November 23, 1960, and is the host of Good Morning America on the ABC network.
Roberts has the Southeastern Louisiana University as her Alma Mata from where she graduated in 1983 with a degree in communications.
She played college basketball, becoming the school’s third all-time top scorer by the time she left college.
Robin worked as a sportscaster on ESPN for 15 years, joining in February 1990. In 2005, she began co-hosting Good Morning America.

Roberts in the year 2007 was diagnosed in early stage breast cancer, a condition for which she underwent surgery. However, between that period and January the following year, she had had about 8 sessions of chemotherapy treatments.
She is also known to have been diagnosed of a bone marrow disease called myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) in early 2012. Roberts received a bone marrow transplant in October 2012.
Since her treatment in 2008, there have not been report of the cancer recurring. It is therefore safe to say Robin is cancer free.
