Singer, songwriter and musician, Emmylou Harris was born on 2 April 1947 who has won as many as 14 Grammys, the Polar Music Prize and is an inductee into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
She was given the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys in 2018.
Harris has been married thrice and has two grandchildren. She went to University of North Carolina to study music.
Emmylou dropped out of school and moved to New York City to chase her musical dreams.
While in New York City, Harris worked as a waitress to keep body and soul together while she sang folk songs in Greenwich Village.
