Diego is a professional tennis player from Argentina. He has Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry.
While growing up he played tennis at Club Náutico Hacoaj which is a Jewish-Argentine sports club for Jews. This is because Jews were not allowed in other sports clubs in the city of Buenos Aires at the time.
El Peque turned professional in 2010 and has since won four ATP singles titles. He reached his career-high singles ranking of world No. 8 in October 2020.
