Kate Bush Heading To Number One After Chart Change

Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill is heading for number one as it earns love from music lovers after a change in the chart. The mid-80s ballad flew to number two after it was used in the Netflix hit series, Stranger Things.

Since then, the chances of Running Up That Hill rose massively averaging 700,000 streams on Spotify daily. The chances of Kate’s song look very high as it has been exempted from rules that penalize older songs when streamed.

A few weeks ago, the 700,000 average plays would have amounted to 3,500 sales. However, with the exemption, the same number of plays amounts to 7,000 sales which is exactly double fo the previous.

Kate Bush become a musical sensation at a very young age. She became the first female to achieve UK number 1 and topped the UK Singles chart with a self-written song at the age of just 19 years in 1978  with her debut single “Wuthering Heights”.
