Bradley Cooper has said that he struggled with alcohol and cocaine addiction before fame following his sack from Alias just after he had severed his Achilles’ tendons.
Speaking on the Smartness podcast with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes, Cooper said that he was lost and “addicted to cocaine”.
“I was so lost and I was addicted to cocaine, that was the other thing,” he told the hosts”.
Bradley Cooper said that it took the timely intervention of Amy Poehler before he realized that he had addiction issues after attending a party together with Amy and Will.
“That was the first time I realized I had a problem with drugs and alcohol and it was Will saying that to me, and I’ll just never forget it… I will say this: I did have the benefit of that happening when I was 29… so I got to go through all of those things before fame even played into my existence on a daily level.”
