Ronald Harold Johnson was born on 8 April 1955 in Mankato, Minnesota. He is an accountant, businessman, and American politician serving as the senior United States senator from Wisconsin.
Johnson attended Edina High School and the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a degree in business and accounting.
After college, he worked in a company started by his brother-in-law beginning as an accountant and machine operator to eventually owning the company in 1997.
Ronald was the Chief Executive Officer of PACUR, the company founded by his brother-in-law, from the mid-1980s till 2010 when he was elected to the U.S senate.
He was reelected in 2016, defeating Feingold in a rematch.
He is a member of the Republican Party and a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.

Ron Johnson was born to Jeanette Elizabeth Thisius and Dale Robert Johnson.
Jeanette and Dale married for 57 years and had four children; Dean, Lynn Bleckinger, Ron, and Barry.
Jeanette was born in Wells, Minnesota, and graduated from Mankato State College, where she met her husband Dale. She worked with the National School Studios/Lifetouch for many years.
She is of German descent.
Dale was born near Good Thunder, Minnesota, and also attended Mankato State College. He served in the army from 1946 to 1948 in Otsu and Osaka, Japan.
After marrying his wife, he worked as Treasurer for Mankato Brewing Company. He had Norwegian ancestry.
He died on 21 August 2014 aged 84.
