Cameron Joseph Tringale was born on 24 August 1987 in Mission Viejo, California.
He was a three-time NCAA All-American at Georgia Tech.
In 2005, Tringale graduated from Viejo High School and went to Georgia Tech where as a freshman he won the Atlantic Coast Conference championship.
He participated in the 2007 U.S. Amateur Championship and lost in the first round.
Tringale was a member of the US Palmer Cup and Walker Cup teams in 2009. He turned professional in 2009 and qualified for a 2010 PGA Tour finishing T19 through qualifying school.
The 2010 Sony Open in Hawaii in January was the competition in which he debuted as a member of the PGA Tour.
Tringale won his only professional tournament at the 2014 Franklin Templeton Shootout with Jason Day.
He is a Christian and sponsors a child through Compassion International.
