Benjamin Todd Roethlisberger Sr., also known as Big Ben, is a former American football quarterback who spent 18 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League. In the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft, the Steelers picked him out of Miami University, where he played college football.
In 2004 and 2007, respectively, Roethlisberger won the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. When he led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a victory against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XL at the age of 23, he made NFL history as the league’s youngest Super Bowl champion quarterback.
After defeating the Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl, Roethlisberger guided the Steelers to their second championship in four years. Ben Roethlisberger was one of the NFL’s all-time best passers. He retired with the fifth-most throwing yards in NFL history.
