Elaine Sandra-Lee Thompson-Herah OD is a Jamaican sprinter who competes in the 60, 100, and 200 meters. She was born on June 28, 1992. Thompson is regarded as one of the best sprinters of all time and has won gold at the Olympic Games five times.
She is the fastest woman currently living, and the second-fastest sprinter in history over the 100 and 200 meters. She also holds the Olympic record for the 100m event with a time of 10.61 seconds.
Thompson-Herah won gold in both the 100 m and 200 m in the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She is the first female sprinter in history and the second sprinter after her countryman Usain Bolt to accomplish this feat.
