Shericka Jackson was born on 16 July 1994 in Saint Ann, Jamaica. She is a Jamaican track and field athlete who competes in the 100m, 200m, and 400m.
Her focus was originally on the 400 meters, in which event she won bronze at the 2015 World Championships, 2016 Olympics, and 2019 World Champions.
Jackson won the gold medal as a member of the Jamaican quartet in the 4 x 400 m relay at the 2019 World Championship.
In the 2021 season, Shericka shifted focus to the 100 meters and 200 meters which resulted in her winning a bronze medal in 100 meters at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Jackson is signed to Puma and has Shelly-Ann Frazer-Pryce and Ellaine Thompson-Herah as teammates.
She is the current World 200 meters champion, having won gold at the 2022 Oregon World Championship.
