Former ‘Top Chef’ contestant Howard Kleinberg has passed away.
Kleinberg appeared on the third season of the Top Chef reality show as a contestant.
On “Top Chef,” Kleinberg was a fan favorite due to a lively back-and-forth he had with Anthony Bourdain despite being placed seventh.
He earned the nickname “Bulldog” because of his tough demeanor which he eventually gave to his barbecue restaurant, Bulldog Barbecue.

Kleinberg passed away over the weekend of July 23, 2022, at the age of 46.
Kleinberg’s mother Susan confirmed his death to the Miami Herald, saying, “I am just finding out how many lives he touched. He was married to his passion in life, which was his cooking.”
His funeral arrangements have not been put in place yet. The date, time, and venue are not yet out.
Funeral pictures will be ready whiles the funeral is underway or afterward, and a memorial service will be held as well.
