Ayman Mohammed Rabie al-Zawahiri was an Egyptian-born physician and theologian who was the leader of the terrorist group al-Qaeda from June 2011 until his death in July 2022.
He was born on June 19, 1951, in Giza, Egypt.

Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed in Kabul by a US drone strike on July 31, 2022. He was 71 years.
