Canadian lawyer and activist, specializing in constitutional and criminal law and civil rights, Clayton Ruby, has passed away.

Ruby, who was born on February 6, 1942, in Toronto, Canada, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University in 1963.

In 1969, he earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Toronto and was called to the bar in 1969.

Ruby was a partner with the law firm of Ruby & Edwardh with Marlys Edwardh from 1976 to 2008.

He was a partner with the law firm of Ruby Shiller Chan Hasan in Toronto, Ontario, after 2007.

Clayton Ruby Cause Of Death

Clayton Ruby died of natural causes on August 2, 2022, at the age of 80.

Ruby’s death was confirmed by his law firm Ruby Shiller Enenajor DiGiuseppe on Twitter.

“Clay was a dedicated advocate for human rights, a champion of the underdog and a loving friend. Our thoughts are with his family and our entire firm mourns the loss of our leader and mentor,” the firm tweeted.
