British-Australian singer-songwriter, actress, and activist, Olivia Newton-John has passed away.
Born on September 26, 1948, in Cambridge, United Kingdom, Olivia was a four-time Grammy Award winner.
Her music career included five number one hits and another ten Top Ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100, and two Billboard 200 number one albums, If You Love Me, Let Me Know (1974) and Have You Never Been Mellow (1975).
Olivia was an activist for environmental and animal rights causes and advocated for breast cancer research.
It was announced in 2019 that Olivia was among hundreds of artists whose material was destroyed in the 2008 Universal fire.
On November 2, 2019, Julien’s Auctions auctioned hundreds of memorabilia items from the singer’s career.
Olivia released a new single, “Window in the Wall” in January 2021, a duet about unity, which she recorded with her daughter Chloe Lattanzi.
The week of its release, the music video for the song peaked at No. 1 on the iTunes pop music video chart.
The singer and actress passed away at her home in California, on August 8, 2022, at the age of 73.
