Paula Badosa Siblings: Meet Sister Jana Badosa

The Women’s Tennis Association has placed Paula Badosa Gibert, a professional tennis player from Spain, as high as No. 2 in the world for singles play.

The Spanish Mireia Gibert and Josep Badosa welcomed their daughter Paula Badosa into the world in Manhattan, New York. She had two fashion-related parents. Badosa’s family relocated to Barcelona when she was seven.

At the Club Tennis d’Aro (Platja d’Aro), she later began playing tennis. She relocated to Valencia at the age of 14 so she could advance in tennis. She went back to Barcelona at the age of 17.

She is fluent in English, Catalan, Spanish, and a bit of French. The US Open is her preferred competition.

Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova were her childhood heroes. Badosa is also a major fan of tennis player Simona Halep.
