Famous Sopranos actor, Bob LuPone has died at the age of 76 after battling pancreatic cancer for some time.
The MCC Theater, a project he started, issued a statement confirming the news of his passing which occurred on August 27, 2022.
“The MCC Theater community mourns the loss of our much loved and uniquely inspiring partner, colleague, and dear friend, Bob LuPone, who lived fearlessly and with great curiosity, good humor, a boundless passion for connection, and a whole lot of heart. We will miss him deeply and always.”
The MCC Theater in a lengthy statement on their site revealed that the veteran actor had died after fighting pancreatic cancer for the last three years of his life.
LuPone had a yearning for a career in show business from a young age and participated in dance courses at the famed Martha Graham Studio as a teenager. After studying at Juilliard, he obtained his first professional position in 1966, playing opposite Liza Minnelli in the cast of The Pajama Game.
