Athanasios “Thanasi” Kokkinakis was born on 10 April 1996 in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.
He is an Australian professional tennis player.

Kokkinakis idolized Marat Safin and won the 2008 National Lawn Tennis tournament at the junior level.
At age 14 he played his first professional match at the Australia F3 Futures; a match he lost.

Thanasi Kokkinakis

He turned professional in 2013 and is currently been coached by Todd Langman. Kokkinakis’s highest-ever ranking in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) was at world number 68 attained on 8 June 2015 and in doubles, he was ranked highest at world number 27 on 13 June 2022.
