Fleezanis was born to Greek immigrants and grew up in Detroit. She attended Cass Technical High School and studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Cincinnati Conservatory.
Jorja was the longest-tenured concertmaster in the orchestra’s history of the Minnesota Orchestra.
