Sir David Frederick Attenborough was born on 8 May 1926 in Isleworth, Middlesex, England.
He is an English broadcaster, biologist, natural historian, and author.
David is the younger brother of actor Lord Richard Attenborough and the older brother of John Attenborough a former executive with Alfa Romeo.
He attended Wyggeston Grammar School for Boys and obtained a degree in natural science from Clare College, Cambridge.
David joined the BBC as a talk show producer in 1952.
Attenborough married Jane Elizabeth Ebsworth Oriel in 50 and they had two children.
