Former England and Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has described Casemiro as a more intelligent and better player than Thomas Partey when both midfield players are compared.
The two players have been very instrumental for their respective club sides in the current Premier League season.
Casemiro and Partey have come up against each other severally in the Madrid derby in Spain, while they were playing for Real Madrid and Athletico Madrid respectively.
Ghana’s vice-captain, Partey is expected to play against Manchester United on Sunday at the Emirates as the Gunners seek to continue their fine form while Casemiro will sit out due to suspension.
Although he acknowledges the immense impact both players have on their respective teams, Ferdinand believes Casemiro is on a higher level than Partey is.
On his podcast, he notes that both players have equal importance to their teams but when the statistics are considered, Casemiro wipes Partey away.
He stressed that Partey is not as good defensively as Casemiro, adding that Partey’s passing is unbelievable.
Arsenal is currently eight clear of Manchester United on the league log and would be looking to extend their lead with a win over their bitter rivals.
