Bristol City Football Club head coach Nigel Pearson has heaped praises on Black Stars striker Antoine Semenyo for his professionalism in the face of the incessant transfer talk linking him to moves away from the club.
Pearson made his views about Semenyo known in a post-game interview on Bristol City’s 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers in the English Championship; Bristol is 17th in the 24-team league log.
Semenyo struck for Bristol to record his third goal in as many games since the start of the 2023 calendar year. He also has an assist under his belt in this run.
The London-born Ghanaian forward has been at the center of transfer speculations to Premier League side AFC Bournemouth; Bristol has rejected a couple of transfer bids from Bournemouth with the second bid reportedly worth 10 million Pounds.
Pearson said Semenyo has done very well considering the speculations surrounding his future and that he has not dragged his feet in games in spite of all that was going on around him.
Since returning from the World Cup in Qatar, Semenyo has scored four goals in five games for Bristol City.
